Reminders and notifications

Breedscape can remind you about two kinds of thing: feeding time every day, and care that's coming due. You'll find all of it under Settings → Reminders.

When you sign in, the app asks for permission to send notifications. If you said no, you can turn notifications on for Breedscape in your phone's settings.

Daily feeding reminder

Turn on the feeding reminder and choose a time. The default is 08:00. Your phone shows a Feeding time notification at that time every day, even with no signal.

It's one reminder for the whole kennel, not a schedule for each dog.

Care due reminders

Breedscape can notify you before these come due:

• Vaccinations
• Wormings
• Treatments
• Whelping

For vaccinations, wormings and treatments, the reminder follows the next due date you set on the newest record of each type. For whelping, it follows the pregnancy's due date. See Health records and care due and Tracking heats, matings and pregnancies.

You'll be notified 3 days before the due date. If you only add a date after it has already passed, you'll still get a reminder, as long as it's no more than two weeks overdue. Each item is reminded once, so you won't be nagged.

Tap a reminder to go straight to that dog's records. A whelping reminder opens the dog's pregnancies.

Turning reminders off

Each kind of care reminder has its own switch, and all of them are on to begin with. These reminders come from our servers, so a change takes effect once your phone has been online.
